Booking API

There needs to be an endpoint in the system to receive Bookings.

Ideally this endpoint should support the new Booking information needed for White Glove, as well as the previous Knauf Road Freight bookings in current Voyager system.

Analysis of Existing Booking CSV files

In the existing Smart Hub system, the current client Room has to drag and drop CSV files onto a website which contains ‘inbound’ or ‘outbound’ bookings. The existing CSV columns are shown in the following tables with an explanation of each column.

Target API - Requirements Analysis

The following table shows the main data elements that need to be conveyed in any booking. This takes the existing knowledge from Voyager end-to-end transport bookings for road freight, and extends it to cover inbound to a warehouse, outbound from a warehouse, and various handover scenarios.

It also covers the concept of a booking which represents an ASN from the client i.e. “we are arranging our own transport, but these Goods are going to arrive at your warehouse on date X”.
