Summary

The staff at the Final Mile Facility need to know the following so that they know what they have to store and when:

  • what goods are coming in

  • when the goods are due to arrive (ETA)

  • end customer (consignee)

  • dimensions of the goods

  • weight of the goods

  • Purchase Order showing anticipated costs for the White Glove installation

Trigger for Documentation

The trigger for the documentation is the dispatch of the goods from the warehouse. There are a number of values which are required to be entered manually into the White Glove system before Pre-Alert can be sent. These are

  • packaging of the goods

  • ETA (estimated time of arrival) at the Final Mile Facility

  • dispatch notes (optional)

  • list of costs making up the Purchase Order

  • confirmation that all costs have been entered

Pre-Alert Information

The Pre-Alert consists of the following:

  • Email to selected addresses at Final Mile Facility containing

    • Pre-Alert Information and Pre-Alert attachment which serves as a Proof of Delivery

    • Booking Confirmation Link to a Supplier Portal for confirmation of booking with the end customer

    • Purchase order of anticipated costs

  • No labels
