Voyager is a new freight management system (FMS) design, central to future SEKO Systems.
It is intended that the project to develop Voyager follows a highly user-centric design.
As a proof-of-concept, Voyager will support the booking and shipment planning of Road shipments between the UK and NI/Europe for one client (Knauf Insulation).
In time, components and approaches developed for Voyager will be embedded into existing Indigina systems. Ultimately, the Voyager PoC will be developed into a full mulit-modal FMS solution. Other systems within the SEKO IT Blueprint will then be developed to compliment voyager within other aspects of the SEKO business.
The priorities for this project are therefore:
To develop a new FMS environment with user-centric design at its core
To leverage best practice and knowledge from existing systems (operationally and technically)
To create a MVP voyager application that will act as the basis for a full FMS system
To allow any components or development practices to be adopted by existing Indigina systems
