Summary

The staff at the Final Mile Facility need to know what goods they have to store, when they are arriving and to whom the goods should be delivered and installed.

The email contains

  • list of goods are coming in

  • when the goods are due to arrive (ETA)

  • end customer (consignee)

  • dimensions of the goods

  • weight of the goods

  • Purchase Order showing anticipated costs for the White Glove installation

Trigger for Documentation

The trigger for the documentation is the dispatch of the goods from the warehouse. There are a number of values which are required to be entered manually into the White Glove system before Pre-Alert can be sent. These are

  • packaging of the goods

  • ETA (estimated time of arrival) at the Final Mile Facility

  • dispatch notes (optional)

  • list of costs making up the Purchase Order

  • confirmation that all costs have been entered

Pre-Alert Information

The Pre-Alert is in the form of an email to selected addresses at Final Mile Facility containing

  • Body of email

    • Outline Pre-Alert information

    • Outline Purchase Order

    • Booking Confirmation Link to a Supplier Portal for confirmation of booking with the end customer

  • Attachments (PDF)
