The Print Server Management System (PSMS) facilitates automated printing to multiple print servers.

Communication between the “PSMS” and “Print Servers” in the warehouses is done using a “Pull” model.

This has the following advantages:

• Secured HTTPS protocol – The “Pull” model implementation means that the “Print Servers” don’t provide the HTTP interface but instead connect to the PSMS securely.

• Warehouses aren’t required to have a public static IP address and no network configuration is required.

• Print Servers are auto discoverable – when a “Print Server” starts for the first time, it is auto registered on the PSMS.

• If a “Print Server” is temporary unavailable, documents accumulate in a queue and can be printed when the “Print Server” is available again.

The PSMS include a front end application to monitor all Print Server Activity and Print Server statuses
